Ok my friends, I need some help. I'm trying to find the owner of a house but when I talked to our local county assessors office, they said the property was owned by the railroad so it is assessed by the state and not the county. Any ideas where I would start at the state level to discover who owns this property?

Mike & Magali SaundersSep 29, 2025That's a tough one. Maybe check if the railroad has a local office, or website that you can narrow down to at least a department that will hopefully get you in touch with a real person.
Daine ClarkDec 31, 2025All deeds are public record so pull the deed from the county recorders office and can work backwards from there.
